Job Description

The Purchasing Manager will lead the supply chain team in developing and executing the team's strategies in support of the company's operational requirements and business needs.
Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain team and network, including third-party manufactures, vendors, and suppliers
• Assess the current supply chain network and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations to meet business needs
• Know regulatory requirements needed to ship and move products internationally
• Acts as a liaison between Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Regulatory, Finance and Quality to assure that the desired product is delivered on-time and at the agreed upon cost
• Work with Operation Management, Purchasing, Contract manufactures and Materials Management teams to ensure operational goals are met
• Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on proper business ethics and standards
• Leads the warehouse and distribution process and technology planning for international products
• Coordinates the demand planning process to ensure on-time delivery of product assortment at lowest possible cost

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven track record for leading a supply chain team to execute corporate strategies in view of aggressive timelines
• Must exhibit strong organizational leadership and team building skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Experience successfully managing third-party manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain functions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must exhibit significant computer experience in a Windows environment, with expert level experience with Microsoft Excel and other relevant programs
• Must be able to travel internationally and or possibly relocate, potentially 15-25% travel

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or business-related area with a minimum 7 years of international supply chain management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry. APICS Certified. Expert with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
