TalentBridge is partnered witth a global manufacturer. We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Coordinator to enforce initiatives that keep our teams safe, train staff on safety procedures, and oversee processes to support an injury-free workplace.
Your daily tasks will include:
• Create safety policies and procedures that affect all North America locations along with working to create this on a global scale with EU locations
• Establish a culture of safety along with ensuring continuous EHS improvements
• Manage, direct, coach, lead, train, and motivate all employees to achieve EHS objectives in a timely and safe manner, while continuously striving to improve safety skills and awareness
• Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating EHS compliance activities through safey teams and direct reports with direction from the Director of Facilities and Safety
• Lead and support safety initiatives and processes to enable an injury free workplace
• Maintain and update safety metrics along with tracking all North America safety incidents for reporting on applicable logs, e.g., 300 and 300A logs.
• Responsible for directing accident/incident investigations, identifying root causes of EHS Incidents and executing sustainable corrective actions
• Identify and develop good working relationships with federal, state and local authorities
• Develop, coordinate and/or conduct EHS training programs
• Coordinate and assist in the execution of capital projects related to EHS to ensure compliance with requirements along with completion on a timely basis
• Assist in providing information for Workers Compensation requests (incident investigations)
• Responsible for driving processes that will result in a reduction of accidents and injuries and the identification of potential hazards or near misses present in the workplace
• Conduct daily safety walk-throughs of the facilities to Client items that need to be addressed
• Provide recommendations and solutions for improving safety to the Director of Facilities and Safety along with other key leadership positions
• Investigate accidents and incidents that occur onsite to identify root causes, propose solutions, and create action plans • Create and maintain safety procedure documentation relating to accidents and incidents along with safety-related SOPs
• Serve as a member of the facility emergency response team
• Manage, direct, coach, lead, train Safety Officers What you'll bring: • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field • 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with spreadsheets, slides, and word-processing programs; Google Docs experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
• Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, federal, state, and city safety requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while at the same time meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and EPA regulations and reporting requirements
• Must be highly organized; able to prioritize and meet target dates in a fast-paced environment
