Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures, considering best practices for infrastructure as code and automation.

  2. Identity and Access Management: Implement and manage robust identity and access management controls, ensuring the principle of least privilege and secure authentication mechanisms.

  3. Security Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with security policies, standards, and industry best practices within the cloud environment.

  4. Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures, actively participating in the identification, containment, and resolution of security incidents.

  5. Security Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools for continuous security monitoring, threat detection, and response.

  6. Network Security: Configure and manage network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

  7. Data Encryption: Implement and manage encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit within the cloud environment.

  8. Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, and work collaboratively to remediate them.

  9. Security Monitoring: Establish and maintain security monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to security events in real-time.

  10. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures. Generate regular security reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with security automation and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, GDPR).
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Cloud Security Professional).
  • Experience with container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with application security and secure coding practices.
  • Understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
