Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Process Designer with proficiency in AVEVA software to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the process engineering team in the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and 3D models using AVEVA software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process design, with hands-on experience in AVEVA software and a proven track record of successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with process engineers to develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process equipment layouts using AVEVA software.
  • Create and modify 3D models of process equipment, piping systems, and plant layouts using AVEVA software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to integrate process design with other engineering disciplines.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and vendor data sheets to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies to address design-related issues and ensure project success.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and drafters as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of design activities, including revisions, comments, and approvals, using document management systems.
  • Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process design, with proficiency in AVEVA software.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment sizing and selection.
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA software (e.g., AVEVA E3D, AVEVA PDMS) is required.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling techniques and best practices in process plant design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
