Senior Accountant
Location: Charlotte, NC (SouthPark)
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid Scheduled (3 Days Onsite/2 Days Remote)

We are seeking a skilled individual to enhance our accounting operations through efficient processing of general journal entries, meticulous account reconciliations, and comprehensive intercompany reconciliations. This role also involves handling various general accounting tasks and projects, along with maintaining related schedules and rollforwards. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure exceptional customer service. Contributing to team efforts by achieving departmental goals is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play an integral role in the month-end closing process by posting journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and review a variety of account reconciliations and amortization schedules, including bank and intercompany accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to conduct monthly variance analysis and support the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with both interim and annual audits.
  • Aid in the financial and accounting integration of newly acquired companies.
  • Design and document streamlined processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control structures and proper documentation.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Participate in various projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Mentor and coach accounting staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Experience managing a large volume of work while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains/Management Reporter is a plus.
