Job Description
Talentbridge is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer who has experience in reading technical drawings/schematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products received from our suppliers meets our company's standards and specifications. Candidates with ability to identify root cause implement corrective action are stongly encouraged to apply immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical drawings to ensure supplier compliance with our company's standards and specifications.
- Perform quality audits and inspections of supplier products, including dimensional inspections, material tests, and visual inspections.
- Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, provide guidance on quality requirements, and develop corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with our purchasing team to identify and evaluate potential new suppliers, and participate in supplier selection and qualification processes.
- Work closely with our engineering team to provide feedback on supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier quality performance, including non-conformance reports, supplier scorecards, and corrective action plans.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in supplier quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is Required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- Understanding ASME standards preferred (not required- will train).
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Experience with quality inspection techniques, including dimensional inspection, material testing, and visual inspection.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective corrective actions.
