VP, CORPORATE CONTROLLER 

THE COMPANY:

As we continue our expansion journey, we are seeking a seasoned and visionary leader to join our finance team as the Vice President, Corporate Controller. This pivotal role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a critical role in shaping the financial foundation of our organization.

THE ROLE:
Position Overview:
The Vice President, Corporate Controller will be a strategic partner responsible for overseeing and optimizing the accounting function across our global operations. This role requires a dynamic individual who is not only well-versed in accounting principles and practices but is also a change agent with a track record of driving process improvement and successfully integrating accounting functions post-acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess strong data and systems acumen, enabling them to leverage technology to enhance financial processes and reporting. Furthermore, the candidate must be an experienced influencer capable of fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance and accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Leadership: Lead and manage the global accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, adherence to GAAP and regulatory compliance, and seamless month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the accounting function. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.
  • Integration Expertise: Oversee the integration of accounting functions following recent acquisitions. Collaborate cross-functionally to harmonize processes, systems, and reporting standards, ensuring a seamless transition and maximizing synergies.
  • Strategic Financial Reporting: Collaborate closely with the CFO to provide timely and insightful financial reports, analysis, and recommendations. Present financial performance to senior leadership, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Data and Systems Excellence: Leverage advanced data analytics and financial systems to drive data-driven decision-making. Champion the implementation and optimization of financial systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Cultural Influence: Act as a catalyst for cultural transformation within the finance and accounting teams. Foster an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the accounting team. Build and develop a cohesive, high-performing team that is aligned with the company's mission and values.

 THE CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a global finance and accounting function.
  • Strong background in driving process improvement initiatives, with a successful track record of implementing automation and efficiency-enhancing measures.
  • Demonstrated experience in post-acquisition accounting integration.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies.
  • Change management expertise and a history of successfully leading cultural transformation within finance teams.
