Job Description

TalentBridge is partnered with a local manufacturing team in search of a Paint Supervisor to oversee industrial paint operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both wet and dry paint processes, in an automated environment.  Proficiency in batch processes and familiarity with ERP systems is essential for success in this role.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the paint department, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 20-30 operators and paint technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to optimize productivity and meet production targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels of paint materials and equipment, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and work areas to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Utilize ERP system for tracking production metrics, generating reports, and maintaining accurate records of paint usage, inventory, and production output.

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering  or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial paint operations, 2 years in supervision
  • Proficiency in both wet and dry processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of batch processes and their application in industrial painting operations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
