Position Overview: The Business Analyst plays a crucial role within project teams by collaborating with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and transform business requirements into comprehensive documentation and conceptual designs. These documents serve as the foundation for the development of technical solutions. The Analyst actively engages in all phases of a project lifecycle and collaborates closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are not only understood but also effectively documented and met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit and document their requirements.
    • Clarify and validate requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  2. Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify potential solutions that align with business objectives.
    • Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
    • Recommend solutions that best meet the business needs, considering feasibility and resource constraints.
  3. Documentation:

    • Prepare clear and concise documentation, including but not limited to:
      • Use cases
      • Process diagrams
      • Functional design documents
      • System documentation
    • Ensure that documentation complies with project lifecycle methodologies and standards.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Actively participate in cross-functional project teams.
    • Collaborate with business users and technical staff to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
    • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
  5. Project Lifecycle Involvement:

    • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
    • Assist in project planning, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Support testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure that the final solution meets business requirements.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Familiarity with tools and software used in business analysis is a plus.
