Job Description:
The Junior Exchange Engineer’s role is to participate in the planning, design, and management of the Advisor Digital Office project. This position will provide support of Exchange on-premises, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 core services. To support this requirement, the role requires strong knowledge and expertise with designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting the relevant messaging, collaboration, and core M365 technologies.

  • Assist with projects focused around migrating 50,000+ mailboxes from Exchange onprem to Exchange Online
  • Function as an engineer for the various messaging applications and tools in M365 within the Digital Office space
  • Provide on-call support for operational support teams as needed.
  • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements regarding Exchange and MS Teams availability and security
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to users and business operations
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, internal teams, and external partners to assess current mailbox configurations and requirements for migration.
  • Providing technical support to end-users during the migration process, addressing any issues or concerns promptly
  • Documenting migration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
  • Continuously learning and staying updated on Exchange Online features, best practices, and industry trends to improve migration processes and support ongoing operations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent IT work experience (3+ years)
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange Online including migrations
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Teams including 3rd party integrations

Core Competencies:

  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange on premises
  • 3+ years’ experience with ProofPoint Email Protection with an understanding of DKIM, SPF, and DMARC
  • 2+ years’ hands-on experience managing Entra ID tenant permissions, gen Conditional Access Policies and security settings related to regulatory compliance.
  • Extensive experience configuring and troubleshooting end user clients (Outlook and MS Teams) on multiple platforms (Windows, MacOS, iOS & Android)
  • Basic understanding of Powershell scripting a plus
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical procedures in business terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to develop strategic customer relationships, gain trust, and respect for the team
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Jira, Miro and Confluence a plus
