Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist with expertise in SAP to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. Your experience with SAP will be essential in managing payroll activities, maintaining employee records, and complying with all applicable regulations and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Process Payroll: Execute end-to-end payroll processing using SAP software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Data Management: Manage and maintain accurate employee payroll records, including salaries, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation-related information.
- Time and Attendance: Oversee time and attendance tracking systems, review timesheets, and ensure accurate calculation of hours worked, overtime, and leave accruals.
- Benefits Administration: Collaborate with HR team to accurately administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other relevant deductions or contributions.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements, ensuring adherence to all applicable rules.
- Auditing and Reporting: Perform regular audits to validate payroll data, prepare reports, and provide insights to management regarding payroll costs, trends, and compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees, HR, and external agencies in a timely and professional manner.
- System Maintenance: Collaborate with IT and HR teams to maintain and enhance the SAP payroll system, troubleshoot any technical issues, and implement system upgrades or updates.
- Documentation and Policies: Develop and update payroll procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistent and efficient payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, with a proven track record of handling payroll processes using SAP.
- SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Payroll module, including configuration, data entry, reporting, and system maintenance.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and a commitment to delivering error-free results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
