About the Role
National organizaiton with offices in Fort Mill is seeking to grow their analyst team!
As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's pricing strategies and initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze market data, evaluate pricing models, and provide valuable insights to optimize profitability and enhance the company's competitive position.
Pricing Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of pricing structures, trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for pricing optimization. Analyze pricing data and recommend adjustments to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Competitive Intelligence: Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies, promotions, and market trends. Stay abreast of industry developments, pricing benchmarks, and customer demands to ensure SunBelt Rentals' pricing remains competitive and aligned with market conditions.
Pricing Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to develop pricing strategies and tactics that align with business objectives. Contribute to the development of pricing models, discount structures, and promotional pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
Pricing Optimization: Conduct pricing experiments and simulations to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability. Recommend pricing adjustments based on data-driven insights to optimize pricing structures and achieve business goals.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and pricing dashboards to track pricing performance and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure pricing strategies are aligned with broader business objectives. Act as a subject matter expert on pricing-related matters and provide guidance to stakeholders.
Pricing Tools and Systems: Utilize pricing software, tools, and systems to perform data analysis, pricing simulations, and track pricing performance. Recommend enhancements or improvements to existing tools and systems to streamline pricing processes and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in pricing analysis, preferably in a B2B industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, PowerBI, SQL, or statistical software. MS Excel is a must.
- Familiarity with pricing strategies, models, and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
