Maintenance Technician
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and hydraulic equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our machinery and systems. Your role will involve conducting inspections, identifying issues, and performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical and hydraulic equipment to identify malfunctions, defects, or potential problems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electrical and hydraulic systems, utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, sensors, valves, pumps, and hydraulic cylinders, following safety guidelines and equipment specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure proper functioning and extend its lifespan.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to coordinate repair schedules, prioritize tasks, and minimize disruptions to production or service.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other documentation tools.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for optimization or efficiency improvements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to electrical and hydraulic equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, hydraulic systems, and components.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and other relevant equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex electrical and hydraulic issues.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance and repair work.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle equipment repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions or reports.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment advancements.
