Job Overview:
As the Automation Engineer you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions to enhance our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with OEM partners to integrate cutting-edge automation technologies into our production lines, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and identify automation opportunities.
  • Work closely with OEM partners to evaluate, select, and integrate automation equipment and systems tailored to our specific manufacturing needs.
  • Design and develop custom automation solutions in collaboration with OEMs to optimize production processes, increase throughput, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline operations, reduce downtime, and minimize production costs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of automation solutions to ensure compatibility and scalability.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, commissioning, and validation of automation systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot automation issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for automation systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical. – preferred not required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience as an Automation/Controls Engineer.
  • Must have Robot, PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting and modification experience
  • Technical expertise & application experience in manufacturing-based applications.
  • Experienced in root cause analysis techniques and failure mode and effect analysis.
  • ERP experience is a plus, preferably design, testing, and implementation related to manufacturing processes
  • Self-motivated worker with the ability to identify priorities and work independently.
