Job Title: Environmental Engineer
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Engineer to join our team. As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a crucial role in working with communities on a diverse range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities. The successful candidate will take charge of projects from inception to completion, while also contributing to the acquisition of new clients and projects.

Responsibilities: As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks and activities to support our projects and clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
Business Development: Actively participate in the initiation of client contacts and assist in preparing project proposals to attract new clients and projects.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients directly, including attending board or council meetings, to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
Technical Engineering Reports: Prepare detailed technical engineering reports, analyzing data, and presenting findings to guide project decision-making.
Project Planning: Develop plans and specifications for specific projects, taking into account environmental regulations, sustainability, and safety considerations.
Construction Support: Collaborate with Construction Observers and Resident Technicians throughout all phases of construction to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required. A Master's degree in the field is preferred.
Experience: You should have a minimum of five (5) years of environmental engineering design experience, preferably with 5-10 years of overall experience.
Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction is essential.
Licensure: Possession of an Iowa or Missouri P.E. license or EIT certification with the ability to obtain a P.E. license within one year is preferred.
