Job Overview:
As a Senior Formulation Chemist, you will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and optimization of formulations for a range of home improvement goods, including cleaners, paints, and related products. Your expertise in working with resins, solvents, emulsions, and other key components will be essential in driving the success of our product lines.


  1. Formulation Development:
    • Lead the design, development, and optimization of formulations for home improvement products, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • Utilize your expertise in resins, solvents, emulsions, and other chemical components to create innovative and effective formulations.
  2. Product Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance and quality of existing products through reformulation and improvement processes.
    • Conduct thorough analysis and testing to identify areas for enhancement and recommend modifications accordingly.
  3. Research and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in formulation chemistry to contribute to the company's competitive edge.
    • Drive innovation by proposing and implementing new ideas for product development.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control protocols to ensure consistency and reliability in all formulated products.
    • Work closely with quality assurance teams to address any issues and continuously improve product quality.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards governing the industry.
    • Ensure that all formulations comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements.


  • Education: BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related; PhD or Master's degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in formulation, with a proven track record in developing cleaners, paints, or home improvement goods.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in formulating products using resins, solvents, emulsions, and other relevant chemical components.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the home improvement and chemical industries.
