Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Engineer with a strong background in thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess robust project management capabilities, expertise in data gathering and analysis, and a keen eye for evaluating new products and processes. This role involves performing research and development activities to support both new and improved products, presenting research findings at professional industry conferences, and facilitating intercompany idea sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage product development projects focused on thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems from concept through to production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Collect and analyze data related to thermal and fluid systems to support the development and improvement of products and processes.
  • Conduct R&D activities to foster innovation in thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems, supporting the creation of new products and the enhancement of existing products.
  • Evaluate the feasibility and viability of new products and processes using a detailed stage gate process, with an emphasis on thermal and fluid performance.
  • Present company research papers and participate in panels at professional industry conferences to share insights and developments in thermal dynamics and fluid mechanics.
  • Plan and host domestic and international sessions to generate and discuss new product development ideas, fostering collaboration across different teams and locations with a focus on thermal and fluid systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management within product development, particularly with thermal dynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data gathering and analysis specific to thermal and fluid systems.
  • Experience in evaluating new products and processes using structured methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting at industry conferences being a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and facilitate cross-functional and cross-cultural idea sessions
