Job Description

Job Summary:
Our client manufactures polymers and is looking for an experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems within the facility.
 
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and increase reliability
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve mechanical equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement to optimize performance and reduce costs
• Work with maintenance team to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of equipment components
• Develop and maintain equipment documentation, including operating and maintenance procedures, maintenance schedules, and equipment histories
• Work with the manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency
• Provide technical support to maintenance team and manufacturing team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing technical expertise in equipment selection and installation
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and reliability in a manufacturing environment, preferably in polymer manufacturing
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, mechanical seals, blowers, gearboxes, liquid ring vacuum pumps, rotary lobe blowers, and other machinery
• Experience with root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental requirements
