Job Description:

  • Provide support to internal and external customers in moderately complex initiatives relating to the collection of portfolio data to reduce delinquency and restructuring of loans within the Loan Workout functional area.
  • Research credit or account information. Perform skip tracing, review workouts, and restructure problem loans and payment plans. Research vendor program remedies and recourse to determine loss projections.
  • Review low complexity collection portfolio or customer issues, processes, policies, and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained related to deliverables with narrower impact.
  • Utilize a solid understanding of company policies, procedures, and collection systems. Adhere to risk ratings and compliance matters Identify opportunities for process improvements in the Loan Workout area.
  • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing an understanding of Loan Workout functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Loan Workout, Commercial Lending experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, and education.

Team Duties:
-This team manages and supports the control step
-The team is part of the recovery department and is the last stop in the settlement review process
-The largest portion of the case review is in Credit Cards
-Daily and weekly reports are received, the contractor will receive a control or process and each day they work the
-The team is not customer-facing
-This is not an entry-level position

Years of Experience required:
2+ years of relevant professional experience

Desired Experience:
-Root cause analysis
-Understanding credit cards, that is the main department
-Payment Research
-Litigation exposure specifically civil procedure
-Partnering with 3rd party law firms
-Working independently and being resourceful
-Enterprise/corporate environment background

Technical Skills Required:
-EXCEL experience is very valuable in this role

Preferred Industry Experience:
-Financial services background is needed
